Due to the risk of coronavirus, the ISAC partner agencies are changing their delivery of service methods and availability of services. Please see below for each location.

JFCS

As of March 16th, services offered by JFCS are adjusted to ensure the safety and well being of staff and clients. Most of JFCS staff will be working remotely until March 30th while continuing to provide service to families and individuals in our community. Critical functions that require face to face service will continue on a case-by-case basis.

SHIM (South Hills Interfaith Movement)

SHIM Center will be closed to the public until further notice and the SHIM Family Center will be closed until April 14. Essential programs (like our three food pantries, utility assistance and financial assistance) will continue in a modified capacity. If you are enrolled in ISAC service coordination, please contact your service coordinator directly. You can reach the SHIM ISAC staff by phone or text at 412-443-5791 or 412-443-5356. SHIM’s staff will be working remotely and answering calls and emails in a timely manner.

Literacy Pittsburgh

There will be no classes or tutoring at Literacy Pittsburgh for two weeks. Students should call 412-393-7642 on March 30 to find out if there is class. Some services may still be available remotely. If you are currently enrolled in ISAC with a Literacy Pittsburgh Service Coordinator, please contact them directly or call the ISAC hotline at 412-742-4200.

Casa San Jose

Given the current situation with the coronavirus, Casa San Jose will be working remotely via phone from March 14 until further notice. Our East Liberty and Beechview offices will not be open to the public. If you have general questions, you can call Jennifer Aguilar at 412-343-3111. If you have a migration-related emergency, call Laura Perkins at 412-736-7167. If you have a vital emergency, please call 911.

Latino Family Center (AIU3)

The AIU3 Latino Family Center and all AIU centers will be closed starting today, March 17, until Friday, March 27, 2020. The plan is that the employees of the Center will return to work on Monday, March 30, 2020. During the time that the Center is closed, employees will be working remotely and checking messages and maintaining communication with our families to ensure that they have their basic needs.

El AIU3 Centro Latino Familiar y todos los centros del AIU van a permanecer cerrados empezando hoy martes 17 de marzo hasta el día viernes 27 de marzo 2020. El plan es que los empleados del Centro van a regresar a trabajar el día lunes 30 de marzo 2020. Durante el tiempo que el Centro está cerrado los empleados van a estar checando mensajes y manteniendo comunicación con nuestras familias para asegurar que tienen sus necesidades básicas.
