New After School Program Available

Casa San Jose offers a new after school program for Beechwood Elementary students grades K-5. The program hosts Latino and Spanish-speaking students at CSJ office space, meeting Monday through Friday from 3pm-6pm. The program also gives support to parents for homework help and other school-related issues. Registration is open until February 26, 2020, or until the quotas are filled. Space is limited. To register your child, contact Angela Mendez at 412-343-3111 or email [email protected]. The program starts March 2, 2020.

CSJ’s after school programming serves as reinforcement for Spanish language and Latino culture. Through these programs, young Latino community members meet and interact in a supportive environment. Students also receive educational support regarding Spanish and English language development. As part of the program, Latino students have a space to develop community with other Spanish-speaking youths. In addition to after school programming for K-5, Casa also hosts educational and after school programs for Latino and Spanish-speaking students at Brashear High School.

Contact Casa San Jose at (412) 343-3111 if you’re interested in registering or finding out more about this and other available youth programs.
